Herd Welcomes 5 New Joiners in August!
August 31, 2026
We're absolutely chuffed to announce five new starters from the month of August - Callum Pickerill, Charley Bayley, Chris Walton, Rose Wattam-Jackson, and Simone Fisher!
💡 Callum joined us as a Consultant Business Analyst, and he brings experience across primary healthcare and higher education, delivering digital transformation and service improvement in complex organisations. His work has included implementing robotic process automation (RPA) for patient registration, leading organisational change to support a digital-first patient access model, and overseeing the transition to cloud-based telephony services. Drawing on an earlier background in market research, he combines analytical thinking, business analysis and stakeholder engagement to help organisations solve complex problems, navigate change, and deliver meaningful, user-centred outcomes.🚲 Based in Sheffield, Callum enjoys making the most of the outdoors, whether that’s walking, running or cycling in the countryside. He’s also a keen golfer, tennis player and footballer, and regularly spends time in the gym. When he’s not renovating his house, you’ll usually find him discovering new food and drink or exploring new places and cultures through travel.
🪢 Charley is a Senior Consultant Business Analyst, whose “squiggly” career path has taken her from the front lines of Secondary Science education to the NHS, and onto pivotal operational and project roles at the University of York. Having served as Head of BA & UX and on the IT Senior Management Team, she most recently acted as the Programme Senior BA on a massive HR & Finance Workday ERP implementation and business transformation. She is at her best when aligning big-picture strategy with pragmatic, concrete actions, whether that’s building business cases, designing procurements, or standing up a design authority to align decision-making at pace. Driven by outcomes, Charley loves bridging the gap between what a business thinks it wants and what it truly needs.
🧶 Charley lives in York with her husband and cockapoo Bram. She is an active crafter and enthusiastic textile fixer at her local Repair Cafe. She loves travelling the world and seeking close wildlife encounters on land and sea.
💻 Chris is a Senior Consultant Business Analyst with over 11 years experience helping to solve complex problems and deliver meaningful change. He enjoys bringing people together, making sense of complexity and turning different perspectives into clear, practical solutions that help teams move forward. He’s particularly excited by how AI is reshaping the way we work and the opportunities it creates when combined with great people and great thinking.
🏋 Outside of work, you’ll usually find Chris in the gym, planning his next trip, or restoring old pieces of furniture and giving them a new lease of life. At home, he and his husband are kept firmly in their place by Alan, their opinionated Pekingese, who quite clearly believes he runs the house (and, to be fair, he probably does).
💪 Rose is a Senior Delivery Manager with over 25 years’ experience leading complex digital, data and business transformation across housing, utilities, higher education and public sector organisations. She specialises in bringing structure to ambiguity, building high performing teams, and delivering change that improves services, systems and customer outcomes. Known for her calm, pragmatic approach, Rose excels at navigating challenging stakeholder landscapes, simplifying complexity, and driving programmes forward with clarity, pace and purpose. With a background spanning enterprise system implementations, data governance, ERP transformation, digital service redesign and large-scale organisational change, she is passionate about creating environments where teams feel supported, empowered and able to do their best work. Rose is also a strong advocate for women in leadership and enjoys helping others build confidence and progress in their careers.
🏒 Based in Beverley, Rose lives with her daughter and enjoys an active life outside of work. She’s a keen hockey player, skier, tennis fan, and loves anything that involves being outdoors. When she’s not on the move, she can usually be found with a good book, exploring new places, or spending time with friends over great food. She believes life is better when there’s something to look forward to, whether that’s a trip, an adventure, or simply a new experience.
📈 Simone is a Consultant Business Analyst 12 years experience in the financial sector, working in mortgages and the later life market. With many of her years being in operational managerial roles, she naturally progressed into a business analyst over 4 years ago. Her experience includes third party supplier change control, cross functional data support, automation & robotics, and implementations of CRMs and point of sale systems. Simone enjoys nothing more than problem solving and seeing the delivery of a project make the required impact on a business.
🔨 Simone lives in Wetherby with her son and little black pug. In her spare time, she enjoys quality family time with a lot of child-oriented activities. She’s also currently involved in her own home renovation, so whenever she has spare time she’s doing as much as she can in the house and garden.
