How we use the information
Any information you provide via signing up to our mailing list, or via e-mail or messages over social media, whether freely or in response to us, may be used to provide our services to you.
We may need to contact you by email to send you information about the services or products that you have purchased from us, and about any service issues; as well as in response to any future enquiries you make about our services.
We may send you information from time to time about additional services that we think could be of interest to you, and we will only do this with your explicit permission.
We do not currently pass on our customers’ personal information to any third parties for marketing purposes, but if we wish to do so in future we will only do so with your permission.
If you express interest in joining Herd as either an associate or a permanent member of staff, we will use the information you provide to determine your suitability as a candidate. We may also need to process your data to enter into a contract with you.
In some cases, we need to process data to ensure that we are complying with our legal obligations. For example, we are required to check a successful applicant’s eligibility to work in the UK before employment starts.
We have a legitimate interest in processing personal data during the recruitment process and for keeping records of the process. Processing data from job applicants allows us to manage the recruitment process, assess and confirm a candidate’s suitability for employment and decide to whom to offer a job. We may also need to process data from job applicants to respond to and defend against legal claims.
We may process information about whether or not applicants are disabled to make reasonable adjustments for candidates who have a disability. This is to carry out our obligations and exercise specific rights in relation to employment.
If your application is unsuccessful, we may keep your personal data on file in case there are future employment opportunities for which you may be suited. We will ask for your consent before we keep your data for this purpose and you are free to withdraw your consent at any time.
In some cases, we may use your contact details to let you know about opportunities to work with us, or about company news.
